What's the best salt for it's value? I'm starting my tank in a couple of weeks! And I need to get some info on some mixes. Thanks.

Best value is Reef Crystals, IMO.

Red Sea Coral pro costs too much.
Instant Ocean's Instant Ocean is not great. It leaves a residue on walls of the mixing container and surface water and does not dissolve completely sometimes. (Hence it probably does the same thing when you add it to your main tank)

Instant Ocean's Reef Crystals does not cost too much and works fine for me.

It's not much more for coral pro at city pets 54.99 for the big bucket that makes 175 gallons that's one of the reasons I went with it I've heard a lot of good things about reef crystals as well is its about preference there

So coral life sea pro it is. I will get a bucket this weekend. The next piece of the puzzle is sand and rock. What's the sand process like and what's the cost.
