Yeah animals learn to survive. Humans are more destructive than anything so it will have to come down to us. Unfortunately they are like tilapia with breeding but they don't provide the same attributes as the tilapia.

Make sure I meet you before you eat it. I'll help you write your will.

Actually, Lionfish is very tasty. You just have to know how to filet it to avoid the venom, which is mostly in the spines..
Had lionfish in the Caymans and it was good..

This means I can catch WC fish for my tank.

Or catch fish to sell to the LFS.

              Win-win brah.
I ate my fish that died.

As for eating it maybe if some one who knows how to clean and cook it. If I catch one I will report to TPW.

Release may have not been on purpose. Storms hite the gulf coast pretty hard and who knows what walshed out. just a thought.

I was only kidding about the eating part but that's an ugly fish. It's like whenever we caught "dogfish" when I was a kid and no one wanted to touch the thing. But some people say they are good. Reporting things to TPWD might help because they do have the tools to determine how far a fish has migrated. I was of a research project on the petenia splendida "bay snook" in Belize and also on the redfish here in Freeport and we published papers on the findings. Science is amazing.
