Of course you can not compare tanks to open oceans but some species like longer tanks, some don't care much.
My tangs like to swim from one end of the tank to the other. Mine is 6 ft and it's barely good enough for them.
The anthias don't swim from one end to the other, most of the time, they just hover around one place.
Not true. I had a trio of lyretail anthias and they were all over the place in my 330. They would dart in and out of the rocks from one side to the other and then back. This was contstant, one of the reasons I love anthias because they are so active and move a lot. Similar to dottybacks but much larger. I personally wouldnt do less than a 75G for anthias but give it a shot and let us know.
