That is way too many fish for a tank that small. The trigger will kill the other fish and the tank is too small for a yellow tang, or 3 clowns.

These are cool lil tanks. But yea that fish stock may be much for the size tank. And sorry to hear about the anemone, but that coulda been prevented with a sponge over the intake. Fish wise personally id go with some nano type fish , maybe small gobies , fire fish ect.

I am getting my ro/di filter in tomorrow.
Also im getting 2 marineland powerjet 600 to try to add some circulation to the tank.

Seems that its hard to flow in a square tank.

The tank is too small for the fish you left in the tank. The two you took out were the ones that could actually live in that tank comfortably. The tang is already too big for that tank. I had one that size in a 50 and he was cramped. The clowns will do fine for a bit in their but will outgrow the tank as well. The trigger will out grow the tank if he hasn't already, he will eat corals, and the other fish in the tank.

Would also love some input on help with circulation tips in my tank.

Maybe some help with the rock placement to help with this.

Does anyone just not clean behind there rocks?

Was debating on doing the rocks in the middle idk.

Put a clean up crew to clean behind the rocks for you (snails, shrimp, crabs, starfish, etc.).

So the fish starving was a problem for you, but putting fish In a tank that way too small is ok?

I have about 700 gph so the tank turns over about 20 times an hour. i know that that is whats on the box and may not be exactly what the flow is.

ouch man. well ideally every fish should have its own 1000 gallon tank.
I will be finding a new home for the tang soon.

Would space suffice for jsut the 3 clowns?

I suppose the larger footprint of the tank made it seems like everyone had enough room.

Didnt seem overstocked from other tanks i have seen. But then again who is to say theres wasnt.

It is wrong because regardless of their physical size, they are both big swimmers. Clowns will stay in their own territory, the gobies would only roam so far. The tang and the trigger both need large spaces to swim in as that is their natural behaviour. They need wide open spaces to express their natural behaviour. Some people get away with smaller tanks but realistically they need at least 4 feet of lateral space, ideally more like 6 feet. You should research the needs of specific fish BEFORE you purchase them, and don't just take a shop keepers word as they're often more interested in sales than the welfare of the livestock.
