Help me pick my Reef lights. I am stuck! PLEASE HELP!

Ok so I decided I want to start adding soft corals to my tank. I need to get the proper lights but not sure what ones to get. One thing I do know I really like and want is the shimmer effect from the leds... and the less heat as possible. but I am undecided between a few so I wound it down to a few choices but was hoping you guys would chime in and tell me what the best of this bunch would be.

what im looking for.. Bright, low heat, able to have corals, and shimmer... trying to stay within 400.. plus I also have 200 in petco gift cards.

ONE THING.. WHAT EVER LIGHTS I GET HAVE TO FIT IN MY HOOD.. AND MY TANK IS A 90 THAT IS 4 FOOT WIDE.

I know these are not leds and I wouldnt get the shimmer effect.. but I do have 200 dollars in petco credit which is why I was honestly looking at these.. was thinking i could add a led strip just to get the shimmer.. would that work?

the next ones,, I was really looking at but then realized for me to get them to fit under my hood I would have to go with the 36-48's cause the 48-60's wouldnt fit n the canopy was these http://www.petco.com/product/114553/...ith-Timer.aspx I was so close to ordering these till I seen the 48-60 inch sets were 52 inches long,, which means i would have to go with the 36-48 ones that would not be as bright.

only problems are I can not tell if the leds have lenses or are raw leds in that box.. and that and they are from china.

I would stay away from cheap leds and marinelandbis crap for anything other than fish only coralife is ok I'd prefer a tek light t5 or halide set up with t5combo if led ai sol's good or maxspec even a couple kessils would be good

Go with reef breeders, if u got more budget and want the shimmer go kessil , I have 2 as supplement light to my main , a 90g would need 3 a150w

Tommy. I use and carry several of ReefBreeders leds. I have 7 reef tanks that have these lights on them at the moment. Feel free to send me a message or let me know if you would like to stop by. My tanks are full of coral right now. So you can get an idea of what they will look like under leds.

sent you a message semper,, i looked at the reefbreeders lights and they look alot like the china leds i was thinking about getting but im sure they will have better warranty and stuff like that

if i go t5 ands leds will i get the shimmer i am wanting or will the t5 effect the shimmering from the leds?

Most definitely. I speak with Logan at Reef Breeders about once a week. Like I said I use his lights on my tanks. You can stop by this weekend if you'd like.

ok my tank is 4 foot wide and 18 inches from front to back, and 30 inches deep. Would 2 of these http://www.reefbreeders.com/value_led_fixtures.html do it for me?

I would consider the reef breeder photon, you can grow anything with it!

am thinking about getting this one http://www.reefbreeders.com/photon48.html ,, if it will fit in my canopy .. b ut right now i have an ich issue that is killing my tanks,, 4 fish down so far
