Help puffer fish floating upside down

I have a mappa puffer fish that is floating upside down. looks like a bubble of air near his tail. I tried to squeeze that area hoping he would burp. I'm not sure what else to do. If you have any tips or experience with this please let me know. He's a little baby puffer about 2 inches big.

So after trying to remove any trapped bubbles from my baby puffer and had no luck, I left him in my sump over night. I just checked on him and he's not floating anymore. I do see him however laying on the sand breathing and hardly moving. I hope he's not dying. Is there anything I can do or buy to ease his recovery or just leave him alone?
