Hey everyone,
Im wanting to start a thread of restarting my nano reef tank that I never got to finish due to life threw me some curve balls and I abandoned the whole setup (actually got good at it). Now that things have calmed down and now have a consistent schedule (Work, school, gym, study in that order), I am going to start the 20 gallon long reef Ive dreamed of. Currently I am still researching and still saving up but have a general idea how things are going to go. I am just working out how to diy a sump/refugium + skimmer. The skimmer I have chosen to go with is the SCA-301 due to cost/effectiveness. I am also going to drill the tank due to previously having a HOB overflow box and HATED it! I plan to go with miracle mud (no matter what nay sayers say), chaeto and mangroves as well as an ato(which has been purchased through autotopoff.com). One of my questions is, i am wanting to go with a MH 150 watt fixture from fishneedit.com but will this be enough for the 20 gallon long? What corals will I be able to keep? Any other input or advice with the setup would be great! Thanks!
