      It varies, I have seen it snow out here and every summer is sweltering. Maybe mid 20's to the 100+'s

          Oh, sorry about that just got up and still waking up...
          water temps vary from 80's down into the 50's in winter.

            Thanks. The reason I was asking is that Jellyfish site linked earlier was saying the moon jellies required 55 F water. Have you seen them out there in temps a fair bit higher than that?

              Indeed, but I'm not certain as to exactly what species it is. They are large and flat, look basically like moon jellyfish. I've never hooked one as they are fairly sizey, but it could be something else entirely I suppose...

                I get them in my cast net in the dead of summer. Freeport last August.
