I like how they did the LR at the zoo. It was cool how they used zip ties, drilled holes, and used those rods.
A little over hang would be BAD@SS if you get the right lighting over it. You can grow low light stuff under/inside the overhang a little and high light stuff on top.I ate my fish that died.

1) try to wean it off live foods (very difficult but not impossible)
2) Feed it for the rest of its life with good quality live foods and gut loaded brine shrimp.
3) make sure your live rock / fuge supports a large enough pod population to keep them fed. This is usually hard to achieve with anything less than 75 gal aquariums.
If you feel up to the challenge... i vote for #1.
Any pics yet???

Question have you ever thought about supplementing the lights with a LED? I was looking at the hood and there is room to have 2-4 LED light fixtures. Like the Cree ones which could be attached to the hood to provide me lighting with little extra heat.

Yes!
Man Brian, I didn't give you those links for nothing. You know you should actual read them right?
I think this is a good combo for lighting. The mods is not to bad either. I would go with maybe 8-12 LED and your stock lighting. Should grow some good stuff.
Only major concern for me is modding the hood to house the heat sink. Maybe you can put a small heat sink in the hood and put a fan in there, this way you don't have to cut the top of the hood.I ate my fish that died.

I didnt see one about supplementing it the ones I read were replacing it. Why couldnt you get this one or something similar (http://www.creeledlighting.com/lrp-38.htm) and attach it to the hood and place a acrylic cover so it doesnt get wet?

True but I dont want to build one and I have not found one online that are small enough to fit. Most of the ones I find a strip lighting and are about 12" long as this one. http://www.marineandreef.com/Product...tCode=RCU01643
