Ok no more LED fixture just picked up a 150W MH pendant from the ADG sale for ridiculous cheap came with a 20,000K bulb. I am going to see if I can ghetto rig the set-up inside the JBJ hood so it will still look clean or I will just hang the pendant from the ceiling over the tank. The only thing that sucks is I now have to move all those zoas I put them higher up so they can get the full benefit of the light from the PC but now they will get burnt out if I throw that MH on them. How can you easily remove them if I epoxy them to the LR?

Anyone know if there is a glue or epoxy that can withstand the heat from a 150W MH?Comment

Maybe JB weld. I use to work with it when I fixed cars.I ate my fish that died.

They have that at Home Depot right? I figured out how to put the MH in the hood I will have to attach the ceramic base to the reflector plate. I am also going to add another fan and if I can figure out where to move the transformer for the fans then I will bump it up and get another fan so i will have a total of 4 fans in the hood.Comment

Well started the change to the MH and it wasnt so bad I need to get something from radio shack to get my fans working but the biggest problem is waiting on the JB weld to dry that darn thing says it takes 15 hours before use. What sucks is that means my tank will be lightless for almost 2 days. I will post pics and stuff when I am done.Comment

Cant wait to get this thing up and running. I need to move two of the corals down from the top so they dont get burnt by the intensity. Hopefully the fans can keep the light cool I am putting two right behind the reflector plate to try to keep it cooler. I also need to get the water stablized and not have all the algae. Which reminds me what is the link for the algae scrubbers?Comment

You might want to direct the fan between the light and the surface of the water. Should take it down a few degrees. Good flow helps too.

I'm waiting on a JBJ 70w HM fixture to pop up myself. Hope I can get the spread cause my tank is kind of long. Might get a 20'' 5t fixture if it pops up before the HM fixture.I ate my fish that died.

Well I woke up this morning and the weld seems to be good didnt want to risk it so I will wait to tonight just to make sure. I tested the measurements and it set at the right distance so that the bulb fits snuggly. Cant wait to fire it up and see it. I dont think I can put the fan in between the light and the glass no room I am hoping that cooling from the back will work enough.Comment

Ok went to Radio Shack and no luck. I dont know what its called but its a prong that you put a wire into and it plugs into the power supply. The same as what LEDs have. Does anyone know where to get this?Comment
