Too expensive. I am going to mod an AC. I just picked one up and will make it another fuge with the Ice Probe cooling the water as well. I will post some pics tonight of the set up.

So it was successful. Well at least getting it to run now we will have to see if it successfully lowers the temp. After about an hour it has dropped about 1.5 degrees. So to build it since the heat sink base is to large to fit in the sump of the JBJ AIO. I decided to rig a set up for it since I did not want to drill the tank to get the Ice Probe into the sump. I modded an AC200 with the added benefit of having more water volume and creating another fuge.
I took the top and cut out a hole to insert the probe since I did not have the drill but to cut a nice pretty hole I am not going to show you the hole since its fugly and ghetto.

Only downside is this has created more noise since the water is flowing a bit of a distance to the water below.Comment

If it makes too much noise can you put a timer on it so it only kicks on during the day and shuts off at night while you sleep?
It's also cooler at night so you might not need it so much then.I ate my fish that died.

True didnt think about that. Hey I some how killed my plate coral. Well it isnt dead yet but its acting super strange only half of it will inflate when it does but right now its staying completely deflated and retracted in its "shell". Dont know what is going onComment

You need to keep an eye on stuff in your tank at night. Something might be messing with it.
You got any corals close to it?I ate my fish that died.

the temp is too high man...
what is your house temp...
i would say things wont do too good above 80 man...
is there anyway you can lift up your cover? and put a fan in between the cover and water surface...
my tank is like 15 gallon, with 150w mh...and a fan...temp would be like 75 or below without a heater...so i running a heater all day to pull the temp back up to 77-78....Comment

Well we will see how the probe handles it. This morning it was down to 79 which is the lowest I have seen it since adding the MH. Its weird that the corals were doing fine then all of the sudden. The fish are all fine just the corals are taking something hard and its like one by one.Comment

Ok so I gave up on my trial with MH its just too hot and with the light so close to the water it just wont work. Got tired of losing corals from the heat. Not sure how JBJ planned on their HQI working unless you spend $400 on a chiller. So for me instead of spending $400 on a chiller I would rather spend that on a cool LED light. Will let you all know how it goes.Comment

Well I noticed that my zoas all appear to be doing great knock on wood. The Radioactive that you gave me Madugo is starting to spread and I see 3 or 4 new heads. Also the red zoas from the goup buy is growing new heads along with my other red zoas from CP. My light is supposed to be here either this week or next cant wait.Comment
