I think the ecoxotic comes with a skimmer.

But is an AIO tank so the skimmer is a smaller one that sits in the back.

That does seem like a lot of fish.

not true at all...common thought though. I have seen it over and over. both go in at the same time, one larger than the other, plenty of other fish for distraction...just fine. I will post my results once I get the fish. thanks for the concern though

i'm not a big fan of angels because of their tendency to pick on soft and lps corals. The stocking list is rather heavy. Possibly doable, but just seems like a lot of maintenance.

sand sifting starfish is recommend for over 80 gallons and 5" deep sand bed according to site listed above.

8 or so fish with almost half of them being damsels, well, seems a little overkill to me.

Keep this in mind. We all like to overfeed, even when understocked. You will definitely be overstocked, so overfeeding will not be an option. Dirty water and high nitrates will be inevitable. You will have lots of maintenance trying to keep up with the amount of bio load you are proposing.

+1.It's totally "doable" but the question is, "do you want to do it?"It will take a lot of maintenance to keep nitrates and PO4 at bay.Maybe some advance nutrient exporting method will help but why do all that for some damsels?Eitherway, please keep us updated on water conditions.

Add bio-pellet reactor and GFO/Carbon reactor and it will be a lot easier. Going to throw them on my 330G eventually. I dont know where I will get the room but oh well. This way I dont have to do WC except every month and half to two months.

Yeah, any form of carbon dosing is going to help.

But I Still can't see the reasoning for dropping that much cash on two reactors (one for bio pellets and one for GFO) and media to keep 3-4 extra fish.

How does someone set up 1-2 reactors on an aio without making it look like crap. That's the real question.

Space is limited, and there's no sump. Someone needs to design a nano Gfo/Biopellets tumbler already. But make it clean looking.

                      yup,

all that just to keep a bunch of fishes.

I say pick one or two nice expensive fish as the "show fish".

uh sure!!! well lets see, no problems at all so far. Been doing weekly 50% water changes with Tropic Marin salt only. I dont own a test kit so far in the tank I have the following:

                              1-flame angel
                              1-yellow watchmen goby
                              2-talbot damsels
                              1-sand sifting starfish
                              1-conk (mispelled im sure!)
                              1-gold bar maroon clown
                              hermits and snail of course

                              as for corals:

about 6 different groups of zoas, fungia plate coral, 1 good sized head of frogspawn, mushroom leather, bubble tip anemone, colt.

should be getting a bubble coral, brain, and clam as well, but it didnt come on todays shipment. no picks but your welcome to come check it out Brian if you would like, I live near 45 and the beltway now.

Yeah when I get over on that side I will give you a ring to check it out. Glad everything is going good. How much coral you putting in? Also what kind of ratio of corals you keeping? Ie. heavy LPS or SPS.
