Where is this part installed? Also, what purpose does it serve. I'm trying to follow these thread pretty close.

The reactor can be installed inside or outside the sump. Those pellets are a solid form of carbon. Beneficial bacteria use the carbon as well as nitrates and phosphate to metabolize and reproduce. So basically using that reactor with the pellets will lower the nutrient levels in your aquarium.

those lights are pretty direct...not a lot of spread that close to the water. Are you gonna have a background? if not, how are you going to hide all the cords???

@Newb, I have a hanging wire kit on the way. That should raise it up to have better spread. As it sits right now it's way to close to the water for my liking. I can't work on the tank without bumping the lights or getting them wet.

@Basstank, this a 36x18 ADA 90p.

@Soymilk, that whole right side is yours, i'm going to look around LFS for choice dry rock.
