    ------------------

A coworker gave me a Biocube 8 recently. All I've done so far is filled with water to check salinity and temps. The digital thermometer is old, but it's reading over 84 degrees with lights off overnight and over 85 with lights on, even when the temp of the room is about 70. Do you think it is just the thermometer or does that sound right?

That doesn't sound right I had a biocube14 temps sat at 76-77 at night but with lights on during the day it was at about 83-84. Are the fans running on it with the lights on? How old is the pump maybe that's running hot

Thanks for the feedback. I was wondering about the pump, but kept focusing on the thermometer because it seemed to be acting funny. I'm sure the pump is old too though, and the impeller needs to be cleaned, I didn't clean it because I am planning to replace it anyway. I'll get a new thermometer and see what the temp is without the pump running.

if it's the stock biocube pump chunk it imo.

Since 2008 inTank manufactures and provides the highest quality upgrades for your All-In-One aquarium and is the place for expert advice. Fast free shipping and fast customer service response.

heard that this pump runs a lil less cooler then the biocube and the maxi jet. Also intank has a lot of neat stuff for biocube and the all in one tanks. check it out might find something cool!

Thanks, yeah I am planning on replacing the stock pump with the hydor pico evolution 1200, I was just going to use the stock one for a little while while cycling until I got the new one.

I'm sitting here in front of global leader aquatics, there was a sign taped to the door that said "back in 5 minutes" and I know it has been more than 5 minutes, lol. Anyone have any feedback about this store?

very good store but, they tend to leave it a lot :P lol they're good people and know their stuff and won't lead you wrong. Good looking fish, corals and inverts everytime i've been. prices are fair as well.

After buying way too much liverock, I finally set up this hardscape. I have a couple large pieces left over. What do you think?
