Yea, just like if you overdose your 2part. It could mess some coral up. The most dangerous is alk. Calc is harder to od.

You just have to measure your alk. Wait a week without dosing and then measure again. Then use the brs dosing Calc, and divide by 7 for daily dose. Smaller doses more often is safer.

i usually don't dip lps. or nps... i just worry about sps. and I didn't dip one order... everything seems ok. Some pieces died.... i dunno what from. So maybe its worth it to dip....

The BRS order we did last sat is still "processing" i guess they had a LOT of orders over the weekend.

I'm getting all zoas, acans, and a duncan so I hope they all make it.

I'm run just the blue LEDs the first week. There are a bunch of reports on nano-reef about zoas from him just melting away. I hope it's a light issue I can resolve.

I would dip the zoas. I've had zoa eatting nudis before. Was not fun.

So I got my new skimmer. Compared to my old skimmer... Build quality seems not as good. I actually liked the bubble magus better! The bm used thicker acrylic, the collection cup seemed nicer on the bm as well. The xp1000 feels pretty cheap, but I noticed it uses better components than the bm though. Gate valve instead of ghetto PVC pipe. I guess the majority of the cost is in the pump.

The pump is the sro1000 bubble blaster. I hope to see great things with this pump. Can't wait to put it in action.

I was gonna get the Lps food. I hear their nps food is bad@ss. Expensive and very time intensive. You gotta mix it, then let it condense, then add more junk. Then refridgerate. I just opened my notes about fm stuff.

Feed mix for gorgs-
30% fauna Marin ultra clam, 40% ultra F, cyclopleez, ultra min s
Let it sit for a few hours, then add more ultra min s. Feed, keep the rest in fridge. Good for 2-3 days.

Feed mix for small gorgs-
70% fauna Marin ultra clam, 10% ultra pak, 20% ultra lite, mix with ultra min s
Let it sit, then add more ultra min s. Feed, keep the rest refrigerated.

I read up all that crap cus I wanted a blueberry gorg. But later read blueberry gorg is not sustainable in a home reef. Nothing on the market has been able to keep it alive. Even the whole fauna Marin line. So I gave up on nps entirely.

Looking into dosing kalc very soon. Need to do a water test first to see if I even need it. Then I will be ready for cool stuff.

ps: got my Tunze Nano skimmer and Vortec MP10es today. Everything is up and running

You prob don't need kalk yet. Prob not til you start seeing lots of coralline growth.
