Building A Sump

Its in a tank along with the live rock I bought from the guy. I have the MJ1200 running to keep the water circulating and I've had a 96W PC 10K bulb running over it.

Its in my unheated garage... without a heater... any idea what the temperature range is on saltwater bacteria?

you can always check die off but testing ammonia. Technically most of the sand could be dead already. Only the top 2-3 inches was getting oxygen. The rest prob died off.... if you dig down a bit and find discolored darker sand towards the bottom then I would just wash the sand. Not worth using.
