One step at a time. A bio cube is a nice all in one solution. I would suggest getting something bigger if you have the money and space. For the price of a nanocube setup you can get a decent 75g.

I ask about live rock because im trying to figure out how much it would cost me total if i were to get the nano. Now that doesn't inclue any future fish or corals, but a good base price would be helpful in trying to figure out if i can do it.

Depends on what kinda Scape you want. General guidelines is 1-1.5lbs per gallon. So I would imagine around 30lbs of live rock. Live rock is pricy (around $5 a pound). So sometimes its a good idea to get "dry rock" ( $2-3 per lbs ) and use about 10-20% live rock. This will probably cause your tank to cycle slower though.

Total cost of ownership and Maintance is pretty low after that. Unless you like toys. Then the total increases every year lol.
