question about macro algae

i started my fuge about a couple of months ago and now my macro is growing like crazy and i am ready to prune of a bunch of it. my question is should i give the stuff im tossing out away to someone else who needs it or is it contaminated with nitrites and dangerous to someone else. if it is ok to share then i can give away probably about 6 large handfulls.

Gracillaria actually tastes pretty good.

I know most fish stores will give you a bit of credit for any macro you have.
