Best tank

Is it better to by a saltwater tank with the overflow in the tank or can I buy a "regular " tank? I want to buy a aquarium and want to try saltwater.

It is easier to find a RR tank, bit you can buy a normal tanks and put overflows on it.

Buy a reef ready tank, aka, one with in -tank overflow.

Don't buy a tank then put on a hang on back overflow, it's unsightly, easy to mess up and dump water all over the floor.

Yes that's why . I saw a lot of nice tanks but no build in overflow. Thanks for the tip

Buy a reef ready tank. If you're a DIY person, you could drill the glass for an overflow. I would stay away from a HOB overflow box.
