If you are about to buy a lighting system for a small reef tank or a planted tank this is why you should wait about a month before you buy. These LEDs screw into a regular socket and after reading the product description, you realize how much light you get for the money, plus lower cost of having to replace any bulbs, plus lower electricity consumption. You could concievably retroful 3-4 bulb outlets in your hood, on say a 75g or 125g tank and have a better light setup than any T5/MH setup.

Well, I'm sure they were LEDs. There are a lot of companies that make these "bulb LEDs". Bulb LEDS for the most part always comes in this shape and style. Most are not dimable and don't have that classic light fixture look. I don't think what you saw was BoostLED's PAR30. They are a sponsor on nano-reef.com and I don't think they have release their bulbs to anyone. Whether ADG has a prototype or not I can't independently confirm.I ate my fish that died.

I am in the process of putting a 72 bowfront together and if I can come across enough money in time to preorder I think I'd seriuosly get 2 of these. i plan on doing a FOWLR and I know regular T8 tubes would be cheaper, but the light of the LEDs would be so much more crisp. and if I ever decided to throw in a few anenomies for some clowns, I wouldn't have to spend any money on an upgrade!Softie Reef
