BM NAC3+/ BM NAC3.5 skimmers... differences? and which is better?

Lol, I got the nac 3+.

It's ok.....I had it on my 60p.

If you want it, I'll let it go cheap.

lol... thats what she said... whats the differences about the two? all i know it the size are slightly altered but other than that i dont know that idc...

I believe the 3.5 is cone shape vs. the 3+ which is a cylinder shape.

Almost the same. I never had the 3.5 so I can't speak to that but the 3+ is a decent skimmer. The 3+ sucks if you don't have it dialed in to the exactly water level in sump.

I had to use egg crates to get it at the right level. Once it got there it did a decent job.

I have the 3.5 and yes, the main difference is that the 3.5 is a cone shape. Supposedly the cones are more efficient. I think it's just a case of haves and have nots. Either is a good skimmer for a 20L - whichever you get the best deal on.

I cant speak to them because I havent used anything other than PM. I like it because it does its job and seems to be pretty forgiving on water height and operation.

i have school all summer... and right now the tank is occupied... im just hoarding stuff for the first two months... then ill make way down there maybe 1 month i have no idea... until i find a home for this FH... lol
