And just say I do get a nice established colony in my refugium of pods, they are breeding so something must be happening down there, will they actually leave the chaeto and get sucked up the return pump? I figure they would just stay down there. How would one feed a mandarin

Alright cool - Maybe I'll give a mandarin a shot in a few months then. I'll let the pods grow more

That's exactly what I would do.

Can you post pictures of the corals? Are they fully coming out now?

My first guess would be a flow issue.

Just took this - They're coming out again. Not 100% but really, they haven't been fully out since I've gotten them.

Yeah more than likely it wasnt the lights but flow. But there isnt a way to tell since you did both at the same time. Flow can be one of the biggest problems. I messed around with my flow because I thought it would be better and in the end I killed a bunch of stuff because I was a dumb *** and couldnt leave well enough alone.

Man, this Flatworm Exit stuff seems scary. It's not anywhere near a bad case of them. Like for example, the front glass on my tank (40 breeder) has maybe 20 of the things on it. I'm sure there's probably hundreds hiding but it doesn't seem as bad as some others Im reading about. I have a six line wrasse and im reading they they eat flatworms. Maybe hes keeping them in check. Also, since I don't have a major infestation, would now be the time to use this Flatworm Exit?

Seems self explanatory (even though a pain) to use. Dose 1drop per gal. Net the dead floaters. I have a penguin 350 hob I can load up with carbon and toss on the tank then do a couple 200% water changes? Should I try and use the stuff or let nature take its course since it's not a bad infestation at all. They must have popped up with a coral or live rock I picked up a couple weeks back.

I would hit them now before it gets out of hand....

You might need to lower your flow even more.

Corals are not looking happy man.

Well, I'll try turning off my other powerhead and just aim the jetstream from my return towards glass. My bubble tip anemone was out and about the first night, and has been under a rock the last 2 days. Leave him? Or should I pry him out and try him in another location now that I have even lower flow. Of course, he dug himself under a chunk of base rock that won't be easy to move

Leave him dude. They move where they want anyhow.

If you try and pry him loose and damage the foot of the anemone, it could die never a good idea to pry them loose, if you damage it too badly, as mentioned never move they will go where they want, once they feel comfortable in a place they like, they may stay there for quite some time.

Well did a dose of flatworm exit and didnt really see any dying. Package says if nothing happens in 45min to add a half dose again. I did that about 20min ago and still see those little ******** sliding around. I guess ill do a water change tonight and do another dose tomorrow morning

Looking at your photo I am thinking I might have the same thing. But mine out small and like little white circles. They are all over my glass and I dont see them move at all.

Yeah, sounds like white flat worms.

I've had both read and white flat worms before.

The white ones don't spread nearly as fast.

Alright, did 3 doses total of Flatworm exit and Im still seeing some flatworms. Theres not a lot at all so ill just keep an eye on them. Corals all seem the same and fish are healthy still. Now, I mustve missed it earlier, but I think all 100+ of my dwarf ceriths have died. Pretty decent amount of hair algae in tank because of it. Have a smaller order of snails on its way and ill net out these dead ones in the morning
