I dip everything in coral RX before it goes into my tank.
It's ok. It's like any other drip. I double dip zoas in FW and coral RX.
Pest will get pass any dip depending on how deep they are in the LR.
Best practice would be dip, QT, watch, dip, QT, and watch.
Only then when everything looks good add to your display tank.
I don't have a QT tank so I just dip once.Last edited by myjohnson; 07-15-2012, 11:27 AM.I ate my fish that died.

I learned that dipping won't get FW eggs.

I dip using CoralRX as well. It's best to use the dip when you acquire a new coral. Acclimate the coral using a drip (or whatever your method) and once acclimated, start the dip. Use the proper amount of CoralRX for the volume of tank water you'll use and put a small powerhead in the bucket so that the water is moving pretty well. After the dip (10-15 minutes) I move them to another bucket with fresh tank water and a powerhead for another 15-30 minutes. You really don't want to contaminate your system with CoralRX, so be sure not to skip this step.
I've also head very good luck killing zoa eating nudis this way after an outbreak from an egg covered frag from citypets that I didn't dip (facepalm.)
