Most sediment filters in aquarium RO systems are inexpensive surface filters that quickly lose their effectiveness when the surface becomes clogged. Purtrex Depth Sediment filters are true graded density filters that capture larger particles at the surface and smaller particles towards the center. But to be a true depth filter, a cartridge must be able to retain contaminants throughout the entire cross section of the filter.   A graded density allows larger particles to be trapped near the surface while smaller particles penetrate the larger open areas to be trapped nearer the center of the filter in the smaller openings. Without graded density, a so-called "depth" filter will operate in practice only as a surface filter. The Purtrex filter has the graded density that is required to be a real depth filter.   The Purtrex depth filter is an exceptional value for general applications where long life, high purity and low change-out frequency are required. Produced through GE Osmonics patented melt blown micro fiber technology, Purtrex is a 100% pure polypropylene depth filter with exceptional dirt-holding capacity. Purtrex true-graded density filter matrix (lower density at the surface of the filter with progressively higher density toward the center) captures particles throughout the entire filter depth. Chloramine is becoming more common as an alternative to chlorine for water treatment and must be treated differently. Chloramines are different than chlorine, which is used by most municipalities to treat the city water supply. Chloramines are chlorine reacted with ammonia to create a more stable disinfectant that will remain in the water rather than gassing off. At least 10% of the nation’s water supplies now treat their water with chloramines and this is becoming more and more common.   Treating with standard carbon blocks can result in the addition of ammonia and other compounds harmful to an aquarium. The Pentek ChlorPlus Carbon Block promotes additional reactions which result in water safe for fish and corals.    If you are unsure if your city uses chloramines, call your city water supply company and ask them directly or ask for a water quality report. Clear Refillable Cartridge for DI Resin

Filling a DI Cartridge is easy. The most important thing to remember is to tightly pack the DI resin into the cartridge. Loose DI will cause the water to channel through the DI, greatly reducing the effectiveness. Available in Four Sizes: 2.5" x 10" Cartridge (Standard - most used cartridge size) 4.5" x 10" Cartridge 2.5" x 20" Cartridge 4.5" x 20" Cartridge NOTE: 99% of customers purchase the 2.5" x 10" Cartridge (SKU 200002)   How to refill an empty DI Cartridge Unscrew the bottom cap from the DI cartridge and remove the foam ring. Pour in the DI resin and pack it down tightly as hard as you can. Tap on a counter to help settle the resin. At this point the resin should be tightly packed flush to the rim. Put the foam ring back inside the screw cap and screw the cap on. Place the newly filled cartridge into the RO canister and make sure the arrow on the side of the cartridge points up.   DI Cartridge Refill Instructions

If you have a 4 stage with DI/membrane, skip the second stage I listed (carbon block) and go straight to the chloramines removal

Its 5 stage , but the only need the bottom 3

Sediment
And 2 carbon

But the one in Amazon are the same as bulk reef supply I just dont wanna be paying extra if they are the same
