Funny haha. You guys really know your way around a fish website. I am a cheap person. You can call me cheap guy or cheapo, I don't really care. I can't spend my money all on aquariums! I rather put it into stock, which it is, than a fish tank. Please can we just wipe it all, clean slate. I just need a light for my FOWLR tank. I'm going to have to deal with you guys sooner or later.

Why put money into stock if it isn't gonna be at its full potential bc u have cheap equipment and you would lose money when it dies instead of doing it right well anyways aquatraders is ur best bet for value to save money

I recommend you listen and stop being smart. You ask for advice and you get it, but you are still stuck on what you want. These guys have more experience with this than you can imagine. If you are just looking for someone to agree with you on a bad lighting selection, then I'll tell you. Go ahead and put a low light double bright marineland LED on a saltwater tank that needs lots of light. BTW, only thing I know about saltwater is catching fish from the coast.

No guys I think he's saying the stock market not fish I could be wrong though but if that's the case and I doubt it then why waste money being cheap? I think this young man emphasis on young needs to get some goldfish and just watch them for awhile

Tell you what I've told you options along with everyone here do what.you will and when the corals you buy look like crap and everything dies off cause you didn't listen we all will say we told you so and then after wasting all that money on expensive corals and fish you finally get it through your thick head and listen hopefully

I really, really don't want to discourage this guy, I understand where he's coming from, and that's something I don't think he understood, we've ALL been there at the beginning of the hobby, wanting to save money, but wanting a beautiful tank, however, all of us have learned through experience he doesn't have the benefit of yet that eventually, we all have to put aside what we want right now in order to ensure we're giving the fish what THEY want and need, and not the other way round, what WE want.
I hope I haven't put him off at all, but calling us condescending and emotional because we weren't giving him the answers he wanted is not the best way to get a community to help you out.
All that being said, no hard feelings on my behalf, I certainly hope there's none on his :-)

We're not saying slow down and read the advice because we like pissing on people's bonfire's, it's taken me THREE YEARS to gather the cash and then the equipment to put together my current system, a system that I am immensely proud of, but even then, I recognise there are things I can do better or things I still want, and you know what, it might actually take me seven years to get there, but at least everything will (fingers crossed ;-) ) still be alive then!
Honestly, that 30 dollar aqualight was a good light, I kept my current nems under pc's, a lot of lps and obviously softies as well, he can go along way on that 30 dollar investment and if it were me, i'd have jumped on the offer, the double brights will become apparently useless very quickly, and since he's already asked about the potential of keeping corals, that niggling little desperate want will only develop and develop until he buys them anyway. Like I said, we've all been there so we all understand!

Wow, Im sorry but I can even comprehend what's going on here. Again I was misunderstood, when I said stock, I meant the stock market like the Dow jones. All I'm saying is I'm sorry. I'm just going to buy a brand new one if I can't find some one who will sell me one.
