What exactly are you looking for? There's a lot of things you could use for a planted tank but isn't quite necessary

depends on what kind of plants you will be keeping with difficult high light needing plants then you'll need co2 and to supply it you need a co2 canister and regulator and all that sort of stuff, however if you do a low light setup its much simpler

if you are just doing this to enhance a tank for feeder guppies and the like, why not go low-tech? corkscrew val, anubias, crypts, java moss (and more) all grow great with stock flourescent lights and fish poop as fertilizer (instead of the co2).
            my fish house:
            2.5g- ramshorn hatchery
6g eclipse- yellow shrimp, chili rasboras, yellow apple snails
29g- geo grow-out, angels, 12"fire eel, dwarf frog, apple snails
45g- jade sleeper gobies, native killifish, feeder endlers

            75g-
2 oscars, parrot, silver dollars, albino channel cat, syno euptera, bichir, baby jaguar, convicts, yabby
            125g- fahaka puffer, rainbow shark
            and about a dozen bettas....

No need for the CO2 if it's just going to be a feeder tank. Just go low tech/low light.

Indeed, low tech is the only route I go. Each planted tank is its own animal and they are truly unique from the start.

Dont listen to lame advice. High tech is the way to go.

or, if you would rather not break the bank, i've got tons of plants that do great with minimal care and lighting. :)

I completely disagree with this lame advice. Low tech is the way to go for a "feeder fish" tank. Why waste so much money on a high tech tank if it's just for feeder fish? If you go high tech, I'd just change out the feeder fish for some nice fish and shrimp
