  • For Sale: fx5 clamp fix

i have drawn up and had some new hold downs made. they are made from stainless with new screws all that you need to do is unscrew yours, pop your broken hold down/retainer, remove the top screw and screw it onto the new hold down. these are guaranteed not to break 100%. They cost a little to make but they are well worth it. If interested, text me and ill send a pic. 936-689-7800

In all honesty the machining process is what cost the most. If i can get a group buy, i can have them made quicker. it takes a little time to make them due to the size and the material used and quantity due to set up of the machines. The replacements sells for 11.50-18 bucks on ebay. you can get them on amazon for 7.50-9.99 not including shipping. so the total comes to about 20 bucks after tax and shipping depending on where you live.

To answer your question, individual pieces will be 15 bucks shipped. if more than 3 are needed they will be 12 bucks each.

Please let me know by fishbox email, text, or phone. I accept all credit cards, cash, paypal. I use the paypal here app on my phone to accept credit cards. I prefer cash so i dont have to pay the processing fee to paypal. 936-689-7800 im available all hrs.

So this is just for the half moon piece and not actually the whole locking contraption?

        Just to clarify

This is for the whole thing minus the top screw. You have to unscrew ur top and screw it onto my piece. The screw and half moon piece is press fit together. In other words u get the "T" it is a little hard to unscrew the top due to the type of nut they use. U can do one of two things to remove the top screw.leave it on the filter and unscrew it all the way or use a pair of pliers to hold the screw and then unscrew it. Only thing you will retain is the orange and grey piece. Simply screw it on and install i will post a pic here in a min

The only piece that is retained is the top grey and orange nut. Simply unscrew the top and screw on my piece. Install. This piece is two pieces press fitted together. The bolt and retainer will not seperate. they will not break, bend, or corrode. they are made from 316 Stainless Steel.

mine is pretty old....i bought it second hand. The previous owner had tightened them down like that.. but this is a fix for the plastic pieces breaking.

I didnt wanna replace the entire filter and most def. didnt want to buy the same plastic piece for them to get brittle and break again.
