I set up this planted tank on a whim and have run it successfully as a low maintenance set up for the past 6 months. Only things added are Excell for carbon and light. This is a great desktop size tank for a hobbyist or someone wanting to give planted tank a try. Just don't have the room as I got a larger desktop tank.
