well, i have been beaten by the hair algae in this tank long enough.....i love these fish and they will eat out of your hand....they live in houston water treated with prime of course...but i need to tear down this tank and start it over....i have 4 discus for sale.....3 of them are quite large and one is smaller but not a baby.....i am asking $75.00 for all 4 of them....thanks for looking....these pics are not the best but they move around alot and are hard for me to photograph....so it's the best i can offer ....they are gorgeous fishies though....

Have you tried nerite snails on the hair algae? I've been told they will do the trick. When you say big, how big, five inches or more?

i would say about 4-5 inches...i've never asked them to stand still long enough to measure them....but they are nice and big....

I think I've seen somewhere that double dosing of flourish excel will get rid of BBA (just doing that to annoy you ). It works on one of them, the BBA , or hair algae. I'm sure EK know the right answer.

                              i don't have c02 on this tank ......
the algae appeared after i added a plant i got at the HAS auction ....
but i already have plans on doing something else to the tank so i'm going to go ahead with selling the discus...they can bring joy to another as they have to me.....
