  • Australoheros "oblongum" breeding pairs

I have 2 mated pairs of Australoheros "oblongum"s available. They have produced viable eggs so they are proven. Males are about 2-2.5 inches and females about 1.5-2. They are behind the java moss most of the time and so is too dark to take a good picture, but I have pictures of their parents on this link:

I have in mind $28/pair. Let me know if you are interested, thanks!

The males get about 5 inches and females 4. Actually I find them on the shy side and are aggressive only to conspecifics. I actually need dither fish to help coax them into the open.

maybe i'm confused. which fish are for sale? The breeding pair, or their offspring? Would these fish go well with Severums, Oscars, Green Terror or Texas Cichlids?

I believe it states in the sale thread...

              "mated pair"
              "pictures are of parents"

So these are the offspring which are now at breeding age and mated?

eklikewhoa is correct - these mated pairs came from my batch of juveniles - or rather what I have left of them from my move here from PA. Unfortunately, I only have my main breeding male left - my breeding female jumped out in the middle of the night last year so the lesson is to remember to keep the tank covered...

I would say that they should do fine with severums and oscars, but green terrors or texas may be too aggressive for them unless you have a really large tank.
