    Hi all,
I want to start with trophs and for that reason I'm looking for a tank according they requirements. Looking for tank, stand and canopy if it's possible and with a minimum size of 90gal. After the tank I would needs rocks and pfs but the tank is first. Thank you for looking this thread.

I have a lot of Holey rock I am wanting to sell. there is about 9-10 pieces for a combined weight of about 120lbs. I would say about $30 would be fair.

mgarrido -- you want to look online on craigslist for 90g to as large as you can afford / fit in your home. Most people will tell you a 6ft tank is the minimum right size, but you can keep a small colony in as little as 3ft but then I would make damn sure that you get no more than about 8 fish in a max 2/6 ratio, in a 90 you can get a much better 5/10 ratio, and in a 6ft 125 you can get the number more like 8/16 ratio which is a great number of fish to start with.

If you can wait -- Delock a few times a year do some warehouse sales for ADG where some nice tanks can be had :)

Please be aware that tropheus really like good water flow and highly oxygenated water, therefore a good wet/dry is the way to go on a tank.

I just bought a new 90g tank out at traders village for 300. Might want to take a look out there as well. There were used and new tanks.
Sorry there is another tank behind the empty tank , it looks better in person

Thank you Zulaab for your recomendations.... this is the tank that i'm looking for: http://houston.craigslist.org/for/1117017919.html, actually it's running sw but looks nice for a trophs. I'm planning put on sale all the sw stuff and then setup my first trophs tank.
Newb, i'm considering your offer, that price is really awesome!

I wouldnt know how to tell you where this guy is but he had another one just like it but with a brown woodgrain look to it and the same seemless front. He said its a 70 but measurements say otherwise.

Nice tank you are looking at but I will be honest with you. You are going to end up with a ton of fish and stuff you cannot use, which means you will need to get rid of them asap, which might not be the easiest thing on earth to do. If you can line up someone to take your fish, rocks and corals, then you can sell off the remaining items which you will not need over time.

I would look for a different tank -- get one that has overflows, but if you cannot then I would get one that either has nothing but tank, tops/canopy and stand for less than 400 and spend the rest getting the things you would need.

I can give you a list of items you will need and for less than 600 you can get some SUPER nice stuff, new or used with that setup.

                        http://houston.craigslist.org/for/1110233446.html 150g reef ready.
Check to see if it comes with lights already installed and if it comes with a wet/dry
If it comes with a wet/dry then this for the money I believe would be your best bet.
If it does not then I believe its to high of a price. I would say $500 is what it should go for like it looks right now.

Then get a pro/clear 200 with a Mag12 pump -- this will cost you about $300 new and your filtration needs are done, then get a Maxijet 1200 with the conversion kit to move 1600 gph water for better circulation. $50 Heater $20 and this is about all you need..

Do you have the space and dont mind fixing the stand / canopy or buy a new set from Fishland. Someone here posted a very reasonable 135g which would work PERFECT for your trophs.

Thank you Zulaab, maybe i'm to much excited and cannot see the correct way. i'm already have an eheim 2260 and 2329 ready for the filtration. I will call this guy later and ask what is included in his deal.

I know the whole thing about being excited.
I would recommend you wait long enough for a good deal to come along. You will find someone within the next 2-4 weeks I am sure that will sell a nice good sized tank you can pick up for little money.
You can have stand and canopies built if need to be. Personally I dont like canopies as you will have limited access to the tank which for me does not work.
Second I like the better lighting system offered with hanging lighting systems or alike systems. Again its all a matter of personal preference.
