fishboyt, don't stress. From the way it sounds, the fish may wind up stunted and be undesireable for your first discus anyway. Tony said they were skinny and hadn't been eating well due to being subordinate fish in that tank. Some fish will come up when you're ready. Just save your money and keep in the loop with Dan.

Like Ek said, i needed to thin out my discus collection. the small discus could not compete with the big guys for food, so they stayed so skinny. i did try to give fishboyt an offer, but a month is a long time, and SORRY, i could not hold them for you fishboyt.
Nitro needed some discus for now since his tank was ready cycled, i told him i gave fishboyt a day to think, then if fishboyt would not want discus for now, Nitro got the fish. for the price, i dont know. Thats the price for everyone in this forum. i thought its fair enough.
sorry if i made you upset. but if you can stay with getting some discus, a month will give you more chances. maybe better deal with better fish???who knows?

You are right, but I didn't think he was trying to get rid of them because from what he said, he just got them. It seemed to me like he was just offering them to me. I thought he would be nice enough to hold them for me.

I see in this thread that specialone wanted to rid himself of some discus, you wanting them but not right now although you started the thread wanting some now.

nitro moved in and picked them up now.

To me it seemed like you made the decision to put this idea on hold and someone else picked up on it.

Sorry this happened to you T. I will talk to a guy that comes in the store once a month that raises discus and see what I can find out about what kind he has a see if I can pull some stings to get some for you. I will pm you if and when I get any info. Oh, and Im only doing this for fishboyt.

I'm not wanting to fight, I just want to know why specialone0812 sold the discus that I would have been willing to pay more than $50.00 for to itsnitro28. If either of you see this post, please tell me why. I'm not trying to be nasty, I just want to know why.
