Re: Looking for ugly aquariums
I got a story for you.
I replied to a Craiglist Ad for a free 65g last night and included my phone #. Woman calls this afternoon around 1:30PM and asks if I'm still interested. I tell her yes and she agreed to me picking them up between 3 and 4PM. I'm just a few blocks away from her house and called her to let her know I was close. Well, she tells me the tank is gone and hangs up. I call back thinking maybe she mistaken me for someone else because I'm suppose to pick it up, but then her husband answers and tells me they've been pickup and hangs up....
I was fit to be tied. Especially since the woman made it a point for me to call if I wasn't going to come and get them.
Free or not, I've never been treated in such a way.

Re: Looking for ugly aquariums
Maybe it was a case of sellers remorse, or could be hubby had promised it to someone else and didn't let her know. However, if she had your number she could have least called and let you know it was already gone.
Could also be that someone offered some cash for it and bumped you out of line.Reasoning with some people is like trying to nail jello to a wall...
