I'm sorry your husband had a bad experience at Sunny's.  I have nothing but nice things to say about Sunny's and it's owner...Mike.  Yes, his nicer pieces of Holey Rock are more expensive, but overall he is one of the most affordable stores with quality fish.  

As for your tank, I know its hard, but you just have to have patience.

Hello Raul,

I think he was upset because of hearing about them having nice THR for .99 a pound.  Then driving over there in a bad storm just to find out that pieces that were worth buying (to us) was not the .99 a pound at all.  If he had known that, he would have just bought the THR from Aqua Zoo in the first place.  It was a long drive for him and he was very disappointed in the outcome.  I'm sure the store and the owner are nice.  I've not been in there personally.  I'm not blaming the person that posted the price from there as they actually did have some for the .99 a pound.  They just didn't have what we wanted in our tank for that price.  He just wishes he would have known ahead of time so that he didn't have to waste a trip.  

We are going to make room for the THR in our tank this evening and get it in there.  It is HEAVY!!!!!  I hope we can fit it in between the glass slots!     I'm anxious to get it in there and change some things around.  I'll be taking out the large piece of drift wood.  A shame too as we paid a lot for it.  I'll save it for the next tank.  We are going to look at a tall 40 gallon tank we found a great deal on today.  I may use it in place of the 10 and 20 gallon tanks I now have and sell the other two...... maybe.  lol  Ok..... you've seen my place..... where the heck am I going to put more tanks?!!

Me either unless it will fit where the 20 gallon tank is right now.  Since the 40 gallon is tall, I'm not sure how wide it is.  Oh my gosh......... I think I'm in need of a 12-step meeting for this addiction!  8O

Oh gosh, I don't know why I keep going towards tall tanks.  Maybe it is a space issue....  I am so grateful for buying that 50' Python.  I did that 20% water change in the 110 tank and it made it so much easier that using buckets!!  lol

What type of fish are you going to put in there? if need help with plecos, i can help. and central american cichlids are the best - big and beautiful, but aggressive.


And Tropical Fish and Pets is two thumbs up for me.

We've pretty much decided on African Cichlids.  A nice person has offered to give me an excellent deal on some electric blues.    If you have other suggestions too, please feel free to tell me.  I'm so new I can take all the advice I can get.  Can I put plecos in with African Cichlids?  I'd love to have some of those cute little tank cleaners.

Finally got the rock in the tank!!!

Hi.  Hubby got the 62 pound rock into the tank this afternoon.  I love it.  :)  We're planning on putting some fish in this weekend.  The water is good!!  No ammonia and a PH of 7.6.  I imagine it will rise a little bit with the THR now in the tank.  Hubby sat the THR on egg crate.  Thanks for that suggestion!!
