Yes, I have a lot of female bettas.
I would suggest you always use the best fish you can get for breeding.
After the initial cost, It takes the same amount of money, equipment and to care for and raise the fry. And when they are grown, they are so much better.
I have platinum whites, yellows, pineapples, cambodians & oranges.
