Pond raised Africa or Pondraised in the US is still only considered to be pondraised.

People that mixed different generations together in their tanks, can only sell as tankraised. Because there is no guarantee F0 to F0 or F1 to F0 or F1 to F1 etc...

That fish has longed been farmed by Fishes of Burundi and they have been selling pondraised juviniles for many years. From time to time, I have seen their old breeders dumped in the market but they were pretty much spent fish or culled males.

If they are truely wild caught, then that would interesting to me to know where they originated from.
This would explain alot about the colony. I thought this might have been an older colony with the slight hump in the foreheads and the overall activity and mannerisms of the fish. When I asked the origin of the colony the guy told me he had them for about four years and he had bought the colony along with the 210 gallon they were housed in from a guy in Austin (who had them for about four years). Knowing that there has not been a colony of wild caughts in a long time (I didn't know it was 10 years though) I was hesitant but after going over to see the fish I had no reason to doubt him. I wanted the entire colony but he had already promised half to someone else. Now I don't have the room unless I fill up the bathtubs OR get some new "furniture".
