I dont know if its possible to only buy females, but if anybody knows of a source where I could pick up a few that would be awesome. Im sure many of your read about my loss this afternoon, and I just want to get this colony back up to par. I am a HUGE fan of these tropheus even though they are about as common as it gets. I would be thankful for any help at all.

just did (took me a while) and man that blows!!! I hope the little squirt is a chick, for your sake. If it helps any, it showed absolutely NO aggression in my tank of peacocks and front fry. Just totally went with the flow lol. And ate like a horse. like 2x as much as anyone else! was just beginning to show more mature colors too. LMK if it's a chick...really hoping it is due to the current circumstances
like i said in the other, the only other place i've seen them recently was T&T on HW 6. but they were a touch pricey...140 New World Cichlids

not sure...they were about the size of the one u got from me. Hope that helps. I don't know anything about trophs so unless venting is a standard across the board, i'm shooting 50% right now (not good at flippin them oer and blowing on them to tell...perhaps the blowing needs to stop...)
it wasn't till i bought that one though that i found out the polka dot pattern was juvie only. so there could have been others. there were about 4 types in the tank. not a whole lot of fish, but they were askin like 24 a piece for em.140 New World Cichlids
