I have a buddy setting up a new tank and he wants to get 20-25 assorted African Peacocks. He doesnt have a ton of money so if you have some that you'd be willing to get rid of fairly cheap, let me know. Thanks

my red peacock female just has about a dozen fry (cant get them to hold still but there are at least a dozen, possibly 15). egg sacks are still attached and will be for about another week. i'm like 99 percent sure they are full reds, but there is a chance that a blue mated with her. I saw the male red mating with her (doin da dance) but because i'm not 100 percent sure, just thought i'd toss that possibility in there. if he is interested in growing some out, i'll make him a wicked deal on them.140 New World Cichlids

And to think....in January it was just the 29...)

Starting with Fry actually works quite well. You can make more errors with smaller fish and they will bounce back. As they get older they eat more and each fish will need more space. Since I know you will put them in a tank where they can grow out in, the fry will have plenty of space to move around in and as they get older (in a few months) they will get to a size that will fill out the tank nicely.

that makes sense, but he's never owned fish before and the only reason he wants them is because he saw my tanks. He doesnt fully understand what all this entails. When i told him what a water change was, he looked at me like i told him we were cutting off his fingers every week. I actually prefer getting babies cuz i love growing em out. Anyway, still need some Africans.....If it ain't wild caught
You ain't doing it right
