  • 36" Coralife Pro MH/PC Fixture

I have a 36" Coralife Pro fixture that needs to go. It has a single 150W MH in between a pair of actinic bulbs. It also has a pair of LED night lights in it as well that are on a separate circuit. You can run each of the lights independently from three separate cords.

For the MH bulb, the buyer has a choice of a 10K bulb that is practically new or a fairly used 20K.

    Asking $200 obo.

Michael, please tell me what the main purpose of this light is for....is this a salt water light best used for frags and the like or can this be used for freshwater plants too....etc....

Elaborate on the main benefit please....

          Oh....a government made item eh....smiles...

So if one is to use it, one might want to keep it on a timer....thanks

                Thanks Semper...

                Steve,
It can be used for just about anything depending on what you configure the bulbs for. You can get MH bulbs set up better for plants if you choose and then use the pc bulbs to supplement for coloration. Currently it's set up to be used with saltwater although I think the 10K bulb is a bit yellow for saltwater. It doesn't run that hot at all compared to what I thought it would. But yes, I would set it up to run on a timer...that's what I did. The dimensions of the fixture lend better to a 40 breeder or anything with a 36x18 footprint unless you are going to suspend it.

Well, that's what I was thinking about....Fishlady's saltwater tank is a 40 breeder, but I am not sure if her light needs upgrading or not...??

                  thanks

this light would be perfect for her salt water tank

excellent growth for corals and just better overall viewing

                      cheap too

Yeah, this light retails for over $500...

And yes, it would be great for saltwater in the event you wanted to go that direction.

I'm not sure how old it is exactly, I bought it used with a 40 breeder. I would guess probably a year old, but it's in great condition.
