Not all the time do they carry eggs, some young females will "plant" theier eggs on the plants. I have seen this done, an pulled the peice of plant, placed it in a confinement net, an they did indeed hatch. 90% of the time they will carry, others just plant em.

I think the proper term for RCS egg "planting" is dropping.

I only know this cause I have nothing better to do then stare at my tanks for hours on end. My oldest son goes out to play with his friends, an I am at home with the 2 month old.....so I sit, hold baby, stare at tanks. I have even watched them fight over a place to crawl, or post on. An its amazing how small the babies are......if you can find them all. I have a big magnafying glass...don't stare too long though, it really screws up your eyes after a few mins....lol.

$300 for red cherry shrimp?? These breed like roaches!! Very ridiculous price! Anyone knows that if you start with 10 you'll have a bunch in a couple of months!

Okay for one...no need to be so RUDE! :furious:

And if you look at the title, you will see what all is involved...400+ A BREEDING COLONY, the plants that FILL up a 40 gal breeder tank, an the food. WELL worth the price. They get sold at lfs's for $3-$6 a peice as adults, an a dollar or more plus shipping on AB.
