if you got two and one person then no.....

if you got ten of them and 5 people, then I would trust them....

Peter has like 8 or 10 of them and it worked well when we used to it move jesper's tank.

YUP trust them. 8 at $75.00 each=$600.00 I would trust them the glazers move glass all day with them. We all need a couple of sets and share them.

I got the cheapies at Harbor Freight. I think I paid $5.99 a piece. Here's a link to something similar, but mine are rated for twice as much, I believe.

They've worked well for me. I've moved around a bunch of tanks with these things including my 210's, 215, and 300. Of course you still need some buddies to help out, but it makes things much easier to grab onto a handle instead of sliding your hand underneath a ton of glass and back out. You may encounter problems if the glass is wet at all or if the glass isn't completely clean. Hope this helps.

Oh, and if you got the cash I would definitely go with the high-dollar ones. I used a couple of those when I first picked up my 300 gallon and they are SOLID.

If you going up 12 flights of stairs you can only have two people carrying the tank at one time.

Is it 12 straight stairs and a landing or 12 straight stairs right into the unit (no turning)?

As soon as my door opens, there are 12 straight up stairs, then a landing that makes a 90degrees left turn. 3 more steps and you are in my living room. I planned on walking it up the stairs, standing it straight up, and then tilt it left and carry it the rest of the way in.
