  • moonlight bulbs ?

    I have a 48" coralife fixture with 5 moonlight bulbs -
recently my son droped the fixture an now the moonlights do not work
does anyone know if the bulbs are wired in series like a christmas tree ?
If so, where can I get replacement bulbs
    if not, what then ?
'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'

The moonlights are just LEDs, aren't they? You can get those at radio shack but I doubt the problem is with the bulbs themselves. I would be more suspicious of the wiring.

they are leds and they are probably wired parallel.

the ones i made are wired like so and i would suspect like clw219 that its either wiring or the power supply.

fry's would probably be cheaper for the led or EPO on westpark and fondren would be the cheapest

you would have to find out what ohm and voltage your current leds are if it is the leds cause if not it will either drain power from the other leds or drop voltage to everything.

There is also an EPO near Bay Area Blvd and Highway 3 (I noticed the original poster is from Texas City so that would be closer than the one on Westpark.)

              thanks all
I guess step one is pull all the bulbs and test them for continuity
never can find that multimeter when I need it........
