I don't get on this forum much so don't expect me to follow this thread. Please understand that these Eheims are coming off a system that is being taken down in preparation of our move. They are used so they will be missing some things. They work great, and have what is needed to work properly. They are plumbed through the bottom via bulkheads, so going over the back may take some reworking on your behalf. I do have a big box of unused parts and can scrounge up some things. If you didn't get what you expected just let me know and I will see what I can find. I do not have "new" tubing to give away, sorry. I can find a set of "return" valves (used) that's not a big deal. The "intake" valves are not "eheim" they are made with plumbing parts. Eheim valves are nice but very expensive, so a "homemade" set of valves work great at half the cost. That is what we used when we installed these systems and that's what comes with the deal. You may need to do some adapting to make them work for "your" particular needs. Please get with me and I will make it right, just keep in mind that you are paying way less than retail and may need to make some alterations.

Great explaination! Net1 We need to understand that we are not paying for brand new stuff here. If we were we would be paying alot more and get all the parts that come along with it. My brother bought a couple of Ehiems a couple of years back. His just happened to come with more stuff. You win some you lose some.

totally understand that these things are not "new". The filter is in excellent shape. I had sent private messages and asked direct questions as to what would be coming with it, and was told "hoses, valves, canister, media". I am definately aware that the price I paid is a good deal. The only thing that got me was that certain items did not come with the package as I was told. I was not saying this was a bad deal or that I got the **** end of the stick. Walking out I thought I would just go spend $50 and get all the stuff I needed no big deal. Ended up coming out to $120ish...I didnt plan on eating that much! Sorry for posting public, I guess I should have kept it to pm's, I just didnt want somebody to drive a long way to pick it up(as I did) only to find things were given a little differently than described.

Yeah we dug around in a box and got out some parts. Very nice guy, my first time meeting him, from the box I got a strainer, intake tube, elbow, and clamps. Just figured those were things that would be coming with a "complete" filter. I wont be able to make it out there again tomorrow. If I go back that will make 4 trips to get one filter. the first time I went out, nobody new what I was talking about when I showed up to pay for it. Gas aint cheap these days dude.

Well...I done my part to make it right. Just seem like blasting folks on open forum is the norm now.
