looking for 2 peices of plastic egg crate about 36"X18" or so. any one have any they don't need any more?

I use them on my 180.. I am going to convert to glass one of these days soon because the evap is just out of this world with that much open water.. but these are trade offs.. 20 for crates vs close to 100 for glass tops

Do you have any trouble with the lights melting the plastic? do your lights sit on the plastic or do you have them raised. that's my biggest concern is I don't want the light melting through the egg crate and crashing into the water.Haiku's are easy
But sometimes they don't make sense

Mine is sitting over the crate not on it. I am running the Coralife 4x65w PC 6ft fixture. It is sitting on Coralife stilts. I dont think it can get hot enough to melt the plastics unless you are running MH.
Make sure that you have the splash guard installed on the light.. or else you are going to run the problem with fish slashing the lights
