glass cages has 240gal for 640.00 new,but thats just for the tank.

Thats their price for a 6ft tank or 8ft tank...if you want a 7ft tank its probably gonna cost you more because they will consider it custom.

I have a glasscages.com tank...mine has been fine so far but do a google search and there are many horror stories. I spent a lot of time cleaning up messy silicone on my tank....other than that I love my starphire front glass...very clear. However I dont like the triple bracing as much as a single middle brace like on the Oceanic and other brands... less room up top and harder to clean the tank...plus limited options on the width of hanging accessories like HOB filters and placement of hanging powerhead sponges.

Also, glasscages.com doesnt ship glass tanks...you have to meet them at a delivery location and unload it from their truck. They wont be in houston until Oct. 4.

i just checked glass cages,they have a 8 foot 240 gal tank with overflows and oak stand,black silicone,glass tops,and a side door in the stand for the installation of your sump.all for under 1700.00 shipped to houston.
just thought i'd let ya know so you can get the best deal possible!!!

Oh and an 8ft tank wont work in the space I have set aside for it...it would be too close to a couch and the wife would say I'm crowding things again...lol
