  • WTB: Dwarf Puffers (Carinotetraodon travancoricus)

I'm in the market for a couple of Dwarf Puffers for my three year old's Eclipse System 3.  I swear a year ago I used to see these little guys everywhere and now that I want a couple I can't find them.  I live in the SE area and most of my searching hab been there (although I was in Village on Friday.)  Anyone seen any or have any they're willing to part with?

I wouldn't get more than 2 for a 3 gallon. and try and get a male and female  (male has a stripe on the underside)

If you want to drive ALL the way across town we have a dozen or so in the woodlands petsmart

i use to be a DP fan myself.  You can find them for sure at petsmart (if they have them in stock, they go quick)

I was planning on two along with an African Dwarf Frog.  Strange, I have never seen them at the Petsmart near me.

That's the one I normally go to and I rarely see them there.  Anyway, I stopped there on my way home from work and sure enough they actually had two.  Conveniently enough, I just happen to want two.   :)   I wanted a male and a female but they only had two females.  I opted to go ahead and get them because 1) I was having such a hard time finding them and 2) Petsmart gets their shimpents in every Tuesday meaning that these had been there an entire week.  The fact that they'd been there so long made me feel better that they were healthy and aclimated to their tank.  The employee suggested I come back tomorrow when the new shipment comes in but then I could be getting fish in shock or even sick and not realize it.

Anyway, I've got the Betta cleared out of the Eclipse and am in the process of aclimating these two gals to the tank as I type this.

I've never been to Fish Ranch.  I need to try and make it over there sometime.  I also have never been to Ultimate Fish.

Since I have two females I may try to add a male down the road.  That might be pushing it though for a 3 gallon tank (especially since I think I'm going to add an African Dwarf Frog in a couple of weeks as well.)
