  • Cyps for Sale

I bought some Jumbo cyps from one of our mods a while back and these guys are spitting out babies faster than hillbillies spit out water melon seeds....

Anywho, I, excuse me, we, managed to strip a couple females a while back and I believe these guys are big enough to be on their own if you have the room....They're about 4 months old now and about 1.5 inches long....there's maybe 15 of them....I would like to get 150 for the group.

    Here's one of the Daddies...

    And one of the mommies...

Fishlady, pictures of the kids please.....and tell the boxers what you have been raising them on...

Thanks Jon, I did lose one of them about 3 weeks after you sold them to me, but since then they have settled in nicely....I rescued a female a couple weeks ago, she had jumped the tank and was laying on the carpet in front of the tank, but I got lucky and was able to revive her ....lost all her fry she was holding....but she made it back.

Yeah they didnt lie when the wording in one article said "Cyps are master jumpers, they are somehow capable of finding the smallest hole and escaping out of it. Tight fitting lids are required when keeping Cyps."

Steve -- I have had the same thing happen.. I open the top up to feed the fish, and I have had so far 1 xeno and 2 cyps jump out. Thankfully I am right there and they are instantly back into the tank.. the Xeno took the longest, because it moved and attempted to get into the back of the tank. I wasnt a happy camper about that...
