looking for some filters

I'm looking for some inexpensive filters, if anyone has any to spare.

Hoping to get ones for the following for the following sized tanks:

40 gallons
15 gallons
20 gallons
55 gallons
possibly 5 gallons

Looking mainly for hanging or internal filters, preferably cycled ones. Would like canisters, but probably can't afford them unless someone's feeling ultra generous.

have you tried going to King Dollar. I was able to find sandman filters for 1$, but only had 1. Other stores had many. May be able to find some cheap filters there...

Mine were in the dog section.

Careful with those filters though..buy 5...one will work, then you got spare parts....

After i made the modifcation of gluing the impeller to the magnet, then i have had no issues...

Works fine. You will need to come up with media to put in it, but it should not be hard (pantyhose filled with carbon, aquaclear sponges ect).

Heres the deal with the Wardly Sandman filters at the King Dollar stores, they all are factory defectives. There is a small flaw in the pump impeller assembly that causes the impeller magnet to come off of the impeller shaft and not drive the impeller at full speed when pluged in. A drop of super glue between the magnet and impeller shaft solves the problem. I have purchased and repaired 6 of them already and they all test out ok after repair.

I just bought 8 of them. Why? I don't know. But for 1.09 ea. Could not pass them up. The King Dollar in Conroe has 12 on the shelves. Told the owner about this thread and he ordered 40 more while I paying.
