    Hi Kevin,

What conditions do you keep the Staurogyne in? Are they easy to grow?

Are the PHYLLANTHUS FLUITANS ok for a beginner plant? I think that would look great in my goldfish tank.

If that is floating on top, will anything else grow below it?

Roujin, tank is high light and high CO2. Regular tap water (no RO) plants are rooted in a Amazonia substrate.

Phyllanths Fluitans or red root floater is a super easy plant to grow. water and light is about all it needs, although it does better in high light conditions. Ferts are needed but CO2 is not since it is a floater. This plant is great for spawning tanks or to help shade other plants. Other plants will grow well under it but mostly low light plants.

Some one grab some of that fluitans. I would love to get some of this the next time I'm in town.

BTW, the fluitans is a nutrient sponge IMHO. I would love to try this plant in my trophs wet/dry sump.

+1 the Fluitans is a great nutrient sponge. I have been using it help shade plants in some areas, but notice a huge decrease in surface scum when I started using it. May be a coincidence, but if not it is a great way to control this problem without surface agitation.
