Anyone in Houston breeding these guys or know of a LFS that is carrying them?

I would like to get some for an upcoming tank, I could pay cash or trade for them. Thanks

I have about 15-20 of them.
I got them from Fish Land. (:
They also have some great blueberry shrimp for sale.

            Re: WTB...Looking for..Tiger shrimp

Does anyone usually sell shrimp at the Auction this weekend?

If not I've been looking here:

Just don't know anything about them- and sadly they are sold out of tiger shrimp.

But I keep an eye on them regularly.. would be willing to split shipping cost with some people if this weekend doesn't have what I am looking for...

              Re: WTB...Looking for..Tiger shrimp

I can not believe this...I bought those shrimp yesterday for $3.69 each and they were all dead except for one when I got home. They were all dead and bright pink...and being eaten by my other shrimp. ):

And just when I was proud of them!!!

I wouldn't recommend Fish Land. I spent $200 over the past two weekends that Fish Land just buying shrimp and small fish and EVERYTHING except for one measley shrimp has died.

I checked my water and everything is basically PERFECT. Fish Land also tested it to make sure my water was fine before they gave me store credit for my dead fish/shrimp!!!!

I have a lone shrimp. How depressing.

                Re: WTB...Looking for..Tiger shrimp

Elike...I stop by there at least every weekend or so. I'm addicted to this homeade water chemical stuff they make.

If you want, the next time I go by I can get you some (and I'll do my best to check if they are healthy).
Maybe my aquarium was too warm or something.
When I think about it...when you cook real shrimp, they turn pink when they are cooked...my shrimp were very pink and dead.

I may have cooked my shrimp. Uh oh.

Let me know if you want me to pick you up some the next time they have them. If so, how many or how much would you like tp spend. You can either PM or write back on here. (:

                  Re: WTB...Looking for..Tiger shrimp

Well I have read that the tiger's are more sensitive than RCS and most stock is wildcaught so they don't take well to shipping.

I found that az gardens as weel and emailed them, they replied that they order them but keep getting the wrong sp.

I might have found some from a member of another forum so we will see.

Thanks for all the help and if you see some there alexrae just let me know and ill go pick them up.

Also the temp has to be pretty high to cook them, I have noticed that however they die they still turn pink.

I have had good experiences with Arizona Aquatic Gardens (AAG) in the past.

I stopped by Fish Land and they had about 6-10 of them. But they are labeled "marbled shrimp".

                                                           You should stop by.

                        Re: WTB...Looking for..Tiger shrimp

Just got back from city pets-

they have tiger shrimp labeled as zebra shrimp- $2.99 (bought 5 myself)
they also have cherry shrimp in with them

And they have what is labeled as Black algea eating shrimp-  $3.99 each-(another 5)

beautiful shrimp- in about 20 minutes will be swimming in my tank- I'll take pics and post before the night is over-  Looking amazing- actually a very dark blue!  One may even be a very dark red!

                            Re: WTB...Looking for..Tiger shrimp

Well decided to go to CP before going to sleep and picked up 10 Tiger's with about 3m/7F with 4 being berried already

I saw those "Black" algae eaters and FishRanch has them too 10/$30 I bought some the other week from FR which has them labeled as Green algae eater shrimp.

I did some searching and almost positive they are neocaridina sp. "blue". If that is right they supposedly do not breed true and the color is just an enhancement by a food fed to them.
